WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On A World of Words. Each week there are three simple “W” questions about your past, present and future bookish plans.
Without further ado, the three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What I’m currently reading
Juliet Takes a Breath
Thoughts: About halfway through and absolutely LOVING this book. I resonate with some of the protagonist’s queer experiences and I’m also learning a lot about the reality of POC in America.
White Fragility
Thoughts: I’m hosting an anti-racist book club now! My high school English Literature teacher played a really big part in educating me about racism and white privilege; I’m excited to be leading this book club with her every week. We started with White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo. Truly an eye-opening read.
What I recently finished
The Song of Achilles
Thoughts: I adored this take on one of the world’s most ancient love stories. Hypnotising, sensual and beautifully written. I’ve sung this book’s praise in this review coming out on June 19, 2020.
What I think I’ll read next
Wranglestone
What does your WWW Wednesday look like? Let me know in the comments what you’ve been reading and loving!
I’ve set up a ko-fi account to support my book expenses, as finances are a bit uncertain due to covid. No worries if you can’t donate right now! Take care of yourself 💗
Once again I am reminded I really need to get to reading The Song of Achilles finally. I ought to put it on my to-read list for next year, since I’m behind this year’s list as it is. Glad to hear you enjoyed it so. Happy reading!

100% recommend it. I enjoyed it a lot, and being Pride Month it’s a great moment to read it!
Thank you for visiting!

Love that you’re hosting an anti-racist book club, I’ve just finished Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People about Race – insanely eye opening! Also, Song of Achilles is brilliant!
